Karma Adjusting was founded with one principle: Help people get what they deserve.
And I do it with integrity, patience, class, and a little bit of grit. I will assemble a team that is appropriate for your property claim and together I will help you get what you're entitled to.
Whether it is science, religion, or mythology, most people believe karma exists in some fashion, to some degree. Karma Adjusting’s origin isn’t as unclear. I’ve launched Karma Adjusting after years of being a Public Adjuster and watching the unfair treatment of policyholders in Ontario.
With an unwavering desire to level the playing field, I stick up for those who lack the skills, time, or courage to stick up for themselves. Karma Adjusting is the REAL DEAL. And most importantly...
After our flood, the insurer was not honest with us and made us feel trapped by telling us we had no other options but theirs. Thanks to Carolyn's experience and professionalism we ended up with a favourable outcome - Carolyn saved us.
Belinda & Willie Hosey, Georgina, ON
When my claim was going to be denied Carolyn worked her magic and proved the loss was an accident and settled the claim. She went above and beyond and never gave up.
Gary McAllister, Markham, ON
The insurer lowballed my loss by hundreds of thousands of dollars, and Carolyn helped me get it all paid. She was patient, professional, and a master negotiator. The insurer wasn't happy, but that's karma for you!
Lily Sotiriadi, Richmond Hill, ON
Carolyn is a friend of mine so calling her for advice was a no-brainer. But advice turned into action: She maximized our claim settlement and protected our biggest asset: Our Home.
Nicolle & Jamie Funk, Courtice, ON
I've seen Carolyn in action dozens of times, and as a professional in this industry, I can say without a doubt she's top in her field. If you need help with your property claim, get Karma on your side!
Rory MacKinnon, Tiny, ON
I recently met Carolyn on a fire claim. Carolyn is professional, smart, and speaks to everyone with respect. Plus, her policy knowledge is amazing. She's almost too good to be true!
Alex Edwards, Toronto, ON
We learned more from Carolyn in one hour than in 12 months with the insurance company's adjuster. Carolyn was a good listener and gave us immediate comfort. Just wish we'd called sooner!
Lisa Ferguson, London, ON
Carolyn contacted our insurer, met their adjuster, convened meetings, and got us paid. She quadrupled our settlement. If you need a Public Adjuster, call Carolyn for sure!
Katherine Spott, Newmarket, ON
Carolyn sent over a restoration company to quote the real cost of repairs. My insurer accepted it and I could fix my home properly.
Geoff Armstrong, Aurora, ON
Carolyn helped me navigate my insurance appraisal. Her expertise helped me attain a much larger settlement that what the insurer was willing to pay.
Johnny Dawaj, London, ON
I consulted with Carolyn after a small basement flood. She reviewed my policy and gave me pointers to ensure all the damages were accounted for and paid by the insurance company.
Greg Curmenska, Aurora, ON
After city road work flooded my friend’s basement, Carolyn called her with referrals to get it rectified and covered by insurance. It was exactly the peace of mind my friend needed!
Liz Walker, Barrie, ON
Carolyn has helped me before, so I called her again. She reviewed my policy and helped me get 100% of the cost of damages.
Corey Gambon, Toronto, ON
Every claim is different so every team i put together to help my clients is unique.
I have a network of elite resources that advocate on YOUR behalf. This includes general contractors, damage appraisers, engineers, accountants, lawyers, restoration experts, content experts, and more.
Karma will rely on you to provide information, documentation, and authorizations throughout your claim as required. The more you can put into the claim, the more you should get out of it.
I’m quite passionate about helping people, so being a Public Adjuster feels more like a responsibility and honour than it does a job. I’ll round out the team with my skillset, experience, and perseverance to help get you what you deserve.
Before my deep dive into insurance adjusting, I spent most of my professional career supporting the I.T. and Telecom departments of insurance companies across Canada.
When I learned about the role of a Public Adjuster, I was obsessed to find out more. My research showed that virtually no one had ever heard of it before and while some of my old clients knew what the job was, they had never actually met one ‘in real life’. So, I decided to. Within weeks I changed my career path to become a Public Adjuster and haven’t looked back.
It was after a $450,000+ increase on a fire claim that a client uttered at his insurance company “Well, that’s karma for ya” with a huge smile on his face. At that moment I knew I’d launch Karma Adjusting.
I have a great network, a great reputation, and great results adjusting property claims for policyholders. My veracity and strict attention to detail together with decades of contracting and negotiating experience have proven to deliver huge financial benefits to the policyholders I have helped.
I regularly donate and participate in my community as often as I can.
In 2019, my 8-year-old son and I initiated a fundraiser and an anti-bullying campaign with his hockey team. Under the message “Be A Buddy, Not a Bully” the team donated almost $2,000 to BullyingCanada.com after selling hundreds of pink shirts in one day with the same message. Pink Shirt Day is a Canadian-born international movement which lands on the last Wednesday of every February. Wearing any pink shirt shows your support that bullying should not be tolerated by anyone or anywhere. In 2021 and 2022 Be A Buddy Masks will be available for $10 in addition to the Pink T-shirts (Feel free to reach out to if you’d like to order one!)
I look for ways to battle homelessness locally and across the border, primarily through The Salvation Army and Hesed House. Many of my clients join in by donating unwanted salvaged property from their losses to the less fortunate in our communities; Clothing donations have been made to homeless and women’s shelters in Ontario, and building materials have been donated to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStores throughout our communities.
